Laura brought her first pet home when she was 6 years old, a neighbour was giving away free kittens. She has never been without a cat since. But it was a dog that she always wanted, and even with all the begging and tears in the world, it did nothing to sway her parents. It wasn't until Laura was in her 20's that she finally got her first dog from the Humane Society. Her love and concern for animals has led her to volunteer for animal rescue organizations where she has been a foster mom to dogs, orphaned raccoons and squirrels. She has appeared on a national talk show with her dog "Atticus" performing various tasks that she had taught him to do. Laura THOUGHT she was a great dog trainer. Then along came Kennedy, a fawn Dane puppy, Laura's dream dog. Her dream quickly became a nightmare and her "great dog trainer" attitude was long gone. Readily admitting defeat she came to Randy and Canadian Canine and the results were remarkable. Kennedy lived longer than expected for his breed and as a result of the training, he became the gentle giant Laura always knew he could be. Her goal at CCTA is for her clients to be as happy with their dog's success, as she was with hers when she first came to CCTA 8 years ago.

The purpose of the evaluation is for us to determine what the cause of your dog's behaviour is, so we can make recommendations on what needs to be done to help you meet your training goals. Because all dogs are not the same, their problems and causes for problems will vary, and so will the treatment, depending on the nature of the dog's behaviour. All dogs are evaluated prior to training to ensure you get the best results possible. This process is quite simple. First click on the Free Training Evaluation and submit the information required. The trainer will review the information to get a good idea of your case. The trainer will then contact you to make an appointment to meet with you and your dog. When the trainer has evaluated your dog's temperament, you will be provided with a signed copy of your evaluation, complete with comments and recommendations for training.
