Kim has always enjoyed the companionship which animals bring, from dogs to cats to horses, and even lizards. She always wanted to work with animals but didn’t know what kind of career was possible. Having to make a decision, she decided to take the police foundation course at Cambrian college, but after graduating, decided that it wasn't what she wanted to do with her life. She did realize, however, that she wanted to work with animals one way or another. Kim then moved to Petawawa where her husband lived, in search of her dream job. Kim was all set to take a veterinarian course in Ottawa when she discovered the Canadian Canine professional dog training course. She immediately knew that this was something she wanted to do.  She knew that working with dogs and helping their owners understand their pets, educating them on how to get the most out of their canine friends, would be very rewarding.

Kim owns a German Shepherd/lab mix (with possibly some Great Dane) from the SPCA in Ottawa, called Spike. Kim’s education continues by trying to learn as much as she can by reading various books about dog breeds and dog psychology.

The purpose of the evaluation is for us to determine what the cause of your dog's behaviour is, so we can make recommendations on what needs to be done to help you meet your training goals. Because all dogs are not the same, their problems and causes for problems will vary, and so will the treatment, depending on the nature of the dog's behaviour. All dogs are evaluated prior to training to ensure you get the best results possible. This process is quite simple. First click on the Free Training Evaluation and submit the information required. The trainer will review the information to get a good idea of your case.  The trainer will then contact you to make an appointment to meet with you and your dog. When the trainer has evaluated your dog's temperament, you will be provided with a signed copy of your evaluation, complete with comments and recommendations for training.
