Jeff has been around dogs since the age of eleven. His first dog was a very intelligent Shetland Sheepdog. One day he noticed how his Sheltie would naturally nip at people's feet, and became curious as to why the dog behaved like this. This influenced him to want to tap into a dogs working ability and instincts. Since Jeff has always been someone who satisfies his curiosity, he enrolled in obedience class to learn why this was taking place. After working with a trainer, it was established that this was a behavior that when integrated with a proper training method can be beneficial to the breed and the owner. As years passed Jeff's experience with many different breeds and trainers has helped form a basic understanding of dog training. This combined with serious sense of dedication led him to the Canadian Canine Training Academy, where he has elevated his training capabilities to the next degree. Through the apprenticeship program with Randy Chartrand, Jeff has learned to hone his consistency as a dog trainer as well as grasp a better understanding of the training process as a whole.Jeff's goals as a trainer are to help others with managing their dogs, and to better the relationship between handler and dog.

The purpose of the evaluation is for us to determine what the cause of your dog's behaviour is, so we can make recommendations on what needs to be done to help you meet your training goals. Because all dogs are not the same, their problems and causes for problems will vary, and so will the treatment, depending on the nature of the dog's behaviour. All dogs are evaluated prior to training to ensure you get the best results possible. This process is quite simple. First click on the Free Training Evaluation and submit the information required. The trainer will review the information to get a good idea of your case. The trainer will then contact you to make an appointment to meet with you and your dog. When the trainer has evaluated your dog's temperament, you will be provided with a signed copy of your evaluation, complete with comments and recommendations for training.
